Awesome. Works great! The only limitation is that the source has to be a non-decaying waveform. (ie. this is the only way to make the attack phase of each note in the sequence identical). The sidechain approach gave me some great ideas to utilize some of my third party software's step sequencers and sidechain native logic applications (ie. esx-24) into these environments. Thanks alot!!!!Dave MurdockNew Orleans, LA

convert the hihat/drum track that has the pattern to an audio track. delete the hihat track from the arrange window.import the audio track and add the albino or synth to arrange window track, add a silver gate plugin to this track and side chain the audio that has the hihat/drum pattern.mute/turn down the audio track. play the keys/chords and they should sound like the pattern.hope this works.

Very interesting! I think I get the just of what you're going for. Using Ultrabeat to create the initial pattern may work ok.. you could also use the Hyper editor as well. The real trick would be to create a delay line in the environment window that would allow you to create patterns regardless of synth. Let me stew on this and get back to ya. I just might have a creative solution for you that will work in any situation. Don't let me slack, though! I'll be finishing the idea this week! email me
