昭和49年に炭鉱が閉鎖され、島民が出て行き無人になりました。カラーテレビが庶民の高嶺の花の時代、ここの島民の家にあるテレビは、全てカラーでした。本当に顔なじみばかりの、豊かですばらしい島でした..。
