I was actually thinking of the M1 garand, not the carbine when it came to the weights- both guns actually weigh about the same unloaded-(5.56 is .223 by the way :P) the weight difference between them is less than a pound- And by full auto i meant that it had the capacity for it- the M16A4's that the marines use is only 3burst.sorry for the errors

konaboy7, that is an error, the m4 has some design differences than the m16, both can be had in either semi or full auto. they can both be had in different barrel lengths. the m4 in carbine form weighs 7.5 lbs. the m1 carb weighs 5.5lbs. and is adequate to 300 yards with practice. the .30 carb pokes a bigger hole in the bad guys than the 5.56(.224)
