"Camará" is a word from tupi-guarani, language spoken by the Tupis (that lived and still living in the Amazon Basin) and Guaranis (an ethnic group that lived from the south of the Amazon Basin up to the Urugauy) and means "water good to drink". So there's no report to any bird or a reduction/jargon of the word "camarada"
