I have unecessarily sweaty hands so I have to use a glove otherwise my cue grabs using an open or closed bridge. I would love to be able to play without one but I don't really think it's a big deal. Plus I think it's just John Schmidt that acts like a fag. I'm sure his glove has no sexual preference.

I'm mixed on my opinion about the glove since first of all I have never use one and also never use a closed bridge. I can't comfortably because my fingers are too small. People say you need to use a closed bridge for a powerful strokes but that is so very not true. It just means you need a more confident and true stroke. A closed bridge will help most people and should be used if possible however if your fingers are small and closed is uncomfortable the gloves will help, but still not for me.
