Glen or Glenda? - Glen's Battle/Acceptance

In a startingly surreal sequence from Ed Wood's 1953 film "Glen or Glenda?" Glen (Played by Wood himself) battles his other transvestite self as Bela Lugosi overlooks. To cap it all off is the most famous scene in the movie when Dolores Fuller hands Ed her Angora Sweater...Wonderful! Art through sheer incompetence! Parts of it remind me of the work of David Lynch or even Bunuel!!!

It reminds me of David Lynch. I also see a bit og Hitchcock in there. Making a movie about his own transvestitism, an absolute taboo in 1953, proves that Wood was the bravest filmmaker on the planet.

LMFAO WTF? I remember watching this few years ago and I still didn't get the message of this film.

Wow, I think I'll have to get this movie. I wonder if Guy Maddin saw it when he was young.

Bela and Pope John Paul XXIII sounded the same. Silly? Certainly.

This wasnt half bad, actually, considering its an Ed Wood. But 7:39 made me laugh. The blonde woman has the most psychotic look on her face.

hey that's not so bad. it's actually pretty well done - if quite weird and surreal! - and the ending is sweet. I saw PLan 9 once and this seems better to me
