buckley just keeps bringing up new tidbits while chomsky is left straigtening out the nonsense he said while getting interrupted... pretty aggrivating debate to watch:(

Buckley was a good orator/debator, but Noam Chomsky here clearly shows the deficiencies in Buckley's knowledge of military/imperialist/colonial history.

Goût véritable.

Buckley loves to chew that pencil. He's a veritable chew chew train!

Buckley is a fascist thug with a comb-over.

As a conservative, but more importantly fan of debate I was deeply sadenned when Buckley died. Today's neo-conservatives scare me, they're a blend of populism, anti-intelectualism, and nationalism. It's hard to be respected today as a conservative when the title has been stolen by people like O'Reily and Palin. The debates between Chomsky and Vidal were legendary because it's two highly intelligent people differing on an issue repectably. If only this style of politics could return.

Noah Chomsky wins on intelligence. Buckley wins on his voice

What a great discussion from two great minds. So enjoyable to hear when we are stuck in the sound byte and sloganeering politics of today.
