Great concept, but perhaps better suited for "Every Day is exactly the Same". Could'a tied in the whole corporate life thing.The song, in my opinion, is a "solipsism song", i.e. it's about retreating into yourself to protect yourself from hurt. Denial of the hurt and self defensive obsession with self. IMHO.

Well you said that it's selfish that he's saying "there is no you only me" which I agree with, but he's saying "there is no you" about the person he made up, just to hut himself. At least thats what the lyrics literally are.
