I do agree with you that we should take full responsibility for our actions and we should do every thing we can to prevent having to make such a terrible choice.I also agree that freedom is something we should not abuse but I am sure that you will agree with me when I say life is not predictable and horrible things do happen no matter how much precaution we take. I don't think a mother would ever take the decision to abort lightly.But it should be her choice and she will have to live with it.

I did not say rape was a red herring. Using rape as an argument for abortion on demand is a red herring. Rape is an entirely different issue. Otherwise, yes women have control over their bodies. What goes in as well as what goes out.Exercise some self control and freedom of choice. Take full responsibility for your body and abortion will never be an option.

Do you know the statistics from rape? I don't think that women who have been raped would consider themselves as a 'red herring' Yes women do have choice. They have the ultimate choice when it concerns their body. It is not as simple as keeping your legs closed or not and by the way raped victims didn't even have that choice and just because it is rare does not make the issue/problem go away or easier to solve! the issue of abortion is unique to every situation there is no blanket answer.

Its only the mothers body for 9 months. Its the unborn childs LIFETIME! 70, 80, 90 years.Pregnencies from rapes are extremely rare and the argument is a red herring. Women have choice. Spread the knees or keep them together.
