I dont get what the problem is with Metallica covering this song- its a tribute to Thin Lizzy if anything. I bet years ago when they were starting out they listened to this version and were as inspired as the rest of us with the great song and the epitome of coolness that was Phil Lynott. Fair play to Metallica, they brought this song to a new audience and by doing so kept the momory alive. Phil is almost saint-like here in Ireland so he'll always be the standard for any rocker to aspire to
