Inspiring song sung by an amazing singer with a voice from God. A winning combination.

One of my great joys is my 3-year-old daughter asking for "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" by Kiri Te Kanawa--yes, she asks for the song and performer by name. Then she sits in my lap, singing along, belting it out for all it's worth. She even finishes with the little hand flourish. Who knows what she'll do someday.

Climb Every Mountain has been a core number in Te Kanewa's concert set for a longtime and this demonstrates WHY. The finest exponents of this song over the past few decades are "the Dame" and the Mormon Tabernacle choir.

Again- for those of you who would attempt to sing this work, listen carefully to Dame KiriTe Kanawa's interpretation, and take it to heart humbly. In her voice serenely rests whatothers ignorantly term "soul"- but it is far more than words. It is love exhaled and given to the waiting hearts and ears of those listening to her. Learn that in all humility, and the grace with which she conducts herself while performing. She is truly a diva.

Yes . . . they ARE different! Dame Kiri is a talented, trained singer who will be remembered for generations, whereas Hayley is, is . . . well, let's check back on her in a few decades.
