Yip-Man will be coming out soon. It's like fighter in the wind except for a Wing Chun great. Not out yet Im afraid, but It shouldn't be too long.

I consider this the Rocky of Karate movies in a sense. But yeah, I have never seen any movie so technical with the specific martial art in my life. I guess you can also check out Red Belt for BJJ. The movie could have been a lot better though, but not as bad as some people say.

a great movie if you appreciate tradition, realism, and culture. this felt like a modern day kurosawa-esque movie.

pt 2.You have all the time in the world to learn a technique, but be aware of what you pay for, gather as much info as you can (textbooks, videos, seminars, etc...), write notes if you have to.Lastly, despite the fact that most (or some) movies are demonstrating traditional martial arts, please do a research on whatever technique you see, then this way you will tell if its real or fake.I know that this is a youtube vid, but I had to say something lol.See yaz bye.

I agree with animejoao.A few things I would love to add are: Do not think of Martial Arts as a combat sport, but more of an "art" form, which is why patterns are good to know, they not only perform well, but also help relax your body so you can be prepared for everything, including self-defense situations.Weapons are nice (and only nice) to know, but there is a bad possibility to use them the wrong way.You dont have to break boards to make yourself stronger, the gym is your friend.pt 1

red belt and black belt both are excellent movies, recomend both, the true way of a martial artist its to learn everything that can provide knowledge about martial arts, please never restrain yourselves because perjudice or fear, go beyond yourself and learn more and more in order to understand your way or martial art.

kuro stands for black and obi stands for belt, and yes this is karate as he does a kata in the start of the trailer, which is called kata sanchin.
