It shouldn't be labeled as a "Black" dance. However, please learn "Our" history. Where do you think the sounds of the Clave&timbales are coming from? Percussion was a gift from the Africans that the Portuguese shipped in for slavery.Afro-Cuban music set the stage and then Puerto Ricans developed what we now call Salsa. La Raza includes all colors. Let's not put down members of "La Familia" based on color of skin which you appear to be doing to the Dominicans.

Latin ballroom dances are black dances put to white rules and regulations because most people can't feel it... and that is said coming from a white salsa dancer, because I'm a white salsa teacher and I know most of the people who go to ballroom dances, they don't feel the music. They need to learn the steps but can't improvise on the music. Ballroom differs from salsa because in ballroom, the music comes second whereas in salsa the music comes first.

Hi they are very good dancer i know ..but this is not my idea the salsa or salsamambo ...Maybe the Mambo's King wouldyou to show to them what is The Original's Mambo....but very complements to dancers are very good...
