The slight holding he gives at 5'26'' is just supreme; never heard the passage played this way by any other performer and I loved it.

I'm so happy to know I'm not alone.....Ludwig was playing ragtime in his brain 77 years before Joplin wrote Mapleleaf Rag! And the end of this final movement is transcendental. What a genius!

sounds like 'ragtime' to me!

In fact we're sorry because the Genius of Beethoven will be impossible to replay!!!!All the best.

I could not agree more. We will never see a master like Beethoven ever again.

from 6:55 we are in front of an absolute genius of mankind's history for sure. It is impossible to compose a such modern vision of music in such a wonderful way. Incredible only incredible!!!!!

dude, there's no way anyone could possibly be like weeping more than me. My dog was crying pretty hard but not as bad as me. I'm not just talkin youtube smack either. We can meet up and cry it out - you, me, my dog too if she wants some. We'll see who's standing after the sonata! nah, seriously though, Arrau was the man.

I like this movement too. Ludwig was definitely playing jazz and boogy woogy WAY ahead of his time - in fact I think he invented them. :)

I wanna cry, it is so touching as Beethoven gave his last word to all of you, say "goodbye"
