This was my first exposure to p-funk when I was about 18. All I saw was a terribly-edited, two-minute version of it. But that two minutes was enough to bewilder me into a different hemisphere, from which I have never returned.Since then, I have been lucky enough to discover, that a P-Funk party, on a good night, when the stars are aligned perfectly, is the finest place to be, in any known, or unknown, universe...period. It's hard to pick a favorite aspect of this video. Is it those fearless Tyrone Lampkin drum fills? Is it that full-force cymbal smash on the one? Is it the Fuzzy Haskins Bug-eyes? Is it the fact that Fred Wesley is wearing a suit while everyone else is wearing space outfits? And what about that dude with the candle?This is simply the best band on the planet playing as hard as they can, and feeling every note. It starts out strong, and ends ten times stronger.It cuts abruptly at "The Night of the Thumpasaurus People", because someone else has already uploaded it.

R ppl hatin' on here...jus chekin! PFunk is the greatest band ever. Music, Lyrics, Stage production, cartoons in the Albums, great road stories and most of all, the backstage parties and antics. We've smoked some bigazz joints!!!! I was involved in alot of it and I still go and "git down" when I have the time. I got hooked at 14 years old. Yes, George made some mistakes as we all do, but the FUNK flies on. To the members who have passed: we love ya's and F.I.P.-funk in peace

I swear everyone: P-Funk is the coolest, most hip band of, of this era. now, I love James Brown, God rest his soul, but it's something about P-Funk...especially live! He came to Cleveland, Ohio, USA sometime ago, and I was fortunate to watch the performance. A total OMG moment!I'ma funktapus for LIFE!Oh: Shit, goddamn, get off yo ass and JAM!
