i thought the ending to be an easy way to seem out of the ordinary, an ending just desinged to make emotion in you in the simplest formula

i like this movie. sure, it has way too many tentacles, bugs, and special FX. they could have used a shymalan approach and left alot to the imagination but oh well..still a great film. i love the music in it when they are driving and the huge bug..creepy and mesmerizing at the same time

That´s correct but still the narator THINKS about killing them all...but he still has a little hope because he believes he heard somebody on the radio saying the name of a town...

I read The Mist from Stephen King's short story from his collection of short stories in the book The Skeleton crew. The film is a good adaptation but in the book at the end they drive into the Mist and you dont find out what happens to them. They dont kill themselves.
