Jesse Owens received more respect in Nazi German than in his own country USA. By the way, don't came with this bullshit about "american heroes" in WW2. Americans bombed Dresden to atoms and killed more than 135,000 civilians germans who were humans beans just like anyone else.

i see where you're coming from, but americans idolized jesse owens, he was used for many ads and commercials when he came back from berlin. Hitler on the other hand left the fucking stadium whenever jesse won

I believe that the real fight of racism towards black people was in fact the american white population. from reading around, I am coming to the belief that even Hitler liked black people more than the average america white person. okay, I know hitler did some outrageous stuff... that no human being should ever be allowed to get away with, but in terms of being racist towards black people...in particular Jesse Owen, I think I would tend to believe that from what has been widely reported (from Jesse Owens mouth), Hitler did acknowledge him for his performance (albeit, not the way an adoring fan should) but he still pulled of a smile.
