turkey vs. peacock

well there's a turkey, and there's a peacock... and this is how they chose to communicate. Some notes about the production - I've slowed the frame rate down a small amount so you can actually see the movement of the feathers a little better. Also, the music is "Happy Together" by the Yardbirds.

We got pretty lucky with our peacocks, they always had the largest, most beautiful and brilliant plumes of feathers I have seen on these birds. They do lose their feathers though, at least once a year, so that might explain why you've seen smaller tails.

I've seen the peacocks fly all the way up to the top of the peak on the barn roof, and once in a blue moon, I've even seen them fly higher up into the top of trees. I guess it depends on how much the other animals instigate them, sometimes they just get way up out of the way. It's really a funny sight seeing one of those peacocks try to land in a thick tree with all those feathers... Someday I'll video that too.

actually, eastsack, I've seen plenty of animals exhibiting gay behavior, especially dogs.

I refer the peafowls to "INSPECTORS". I'm glad this Inspector lost his match to a Turkey.
