Intelligent Design and Creationism/Evolution Controversy
'Intelligent Design' (ID) is a new form of creationism that emerged after legal decisions in the 1980s hampered the inclusion of 'creation science' in the public school curriculum. In the 20 years since ID appeared, there has been no evidence of it being used to solve problems in biology. Although the scientific/scholarly part of ID has been a failure, the 'cultural renewal' part of ID has been a success, as supporters of ID seek 'restoration' of a theistic sensibility in American culture to replace what they consider an overemphasis on secularism.

yes. feel free to ignore the mountains of evidence which have formed over the last 20 years in support of evolution and simply write off the scientific theory based upon your ignorance of it. Sorry, the real world doesn't work that way. Evolution is true and no amount of condescending rhetoric will stop that.

creationists and evolutionists are both dumbassescreationists believe something that is so far out ther and they live their life around itevolutionists are dumber cuz they actually think their idea makes sense even creationists arent that stupidfuck you all

And, we have the brand new book out this year (2008) from Ken Miller, one of the science witnesses who testified at Dover, "Only A Theory" which shows very informatively and with great verve concerning the Hox Gene and this strawman argument of instantaneous formation of new organs. This really is a strawman as you note Falliblefiend.....

Actually, I found her lecture very informative and seriously factual. I also have discussed some of this kind of materials in my videos on Intelligent Design - Good Religion, ID-iotic Science on my Backyard Professor You Tube site.

you mean proof like in the dna retrovirus? or genome sequencing? or fossil records?i suppose if u ignore all the evidences there are then, yes there would be no evidence.creationists are very good at this. ignoring the evidence and saying i dont see any.i believe the word is ignorance.
ChemEBeaver (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
"Only an idiot would say disprove this and whatever's left is what is truth."so r u calling creationists idiots then? isnt that what creationism/IE all about? saying evolution is disproven so theres no need to prove creationism/IE? where's their research?

I know this is going to get me many biased thumbs down but she is totally wrong and spouting claims that are not true. The entire video is a straw man making his way up a slippery slope. Creationists don't agree with any of her claims just so everyone knows, and those false dichotomies she accuses us of are ridiculous. Only an idiot would say disprove this and whatever's left is what is truth. This is the stupidest argument I have heard and her speech is fallacious and just plain false.

I see that you have some degree of objective awareness. However, you do realize that there is not a single bit of concrete evidence to show any human evolution? Don't you?
Revurg (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
There is a whole website that lists all of them Hundreds of them.
ChemEBeaver (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
let me remind you saying "im too stupid to understand so god did it" is not researching.if u want to see evolution, google "observed instances of speciation" or talk to micro biologists who study viruses. but dont ask a church for these answers or sit there saying im too stupid to understand.
