Brainiac didnt kill her. Remember? Clark killed him by elocution and saved Lana's life. She left a video message for him. When the end of the video stopped, Lois walks in and hugs Clark...blah blah blah. She left Clark. saying "I need you, but the world needs you more." She (Kristen) did leave but there is talk about her coming back. :)

are we talking about threw the series or in reality? For last year everyone needed to re-establish their contract. Lex decided not to being as to why he's no longer in the show. I'm not sure about lana but she left over to Europe during Spring to start a movie with some other activities on the side. Saying that she "may" apper in only three episodes this season.
