Cool. You should be proud and Im sure you are. But some people in my family were 'hush-hush' about our people too. Of course there was and still are prejudices. But its not a secret now and its something Im proud of.Ive been lookkinig at semi-brown people all my life and I dig it! hehe. Im Cherokee,Blackfoot & Irish.The Brits DID break their "deals". Others did too. Its the real American tragedy. Theyre still being oppressed.

Im scottish/native/sicilian, my grandpa said his parents used to say, (His father-"my people arrived on the Mayflower.") (mother-"Yeah well mine met the boat!")Sad part is a some of our family doesnt like to admit we are part "Indin".My Grandpa and his brothers let it be known though.When I talk to him about why so many "Indians" died he says the British broke all their deals with them and they rightly attacked them.Then Brits had all the guns so they won. & They swindled them onto reservations
