it isn't about sad or happy song. it's about their gay sound now. songs The Red and Send The Pain Below are dealing with sad topics but their sound rocks. emo soft is with those childish/girlish voices and soft drums and guitars. topic is completely irrelevant for emo. they could make song about birthdays that sounds like funeral. and looking like crazy old women definetely doesn't help chevelle either.

hahahahahaha you must be 12 years old man. oh yeah they think about music and not to make it "appropriate" enough to sell more. are you high? you think that emo movement isn't created by media? you really think their last album would sound like this if there wasn't emo? yeah and papa roach went from nu metal/rapcore band to bunch of lonely brokenheart gays over night because they feel that way? or they were given instruction by production companies how to sell more albums? wake up from lala land

Fucking stop labelling everyone. This guy's 'emo' this guy's 'goth' fucking WHO CARES? They make good music i'm sure when they go into the studio they dont think about how some unknown people are going to percieve them as emo. No, they think about their music and the message they're trying to get across. So maybe you should focus on that instead of society and their ignorant attempts to pigeon hole everyone.

yeah, im part emo and i know that, id classify chevelle into alt metal, considering they sound like deftones and tool combined, and they have been influenced by them
