Roza Rymbaeva - Aliya

1977 All-Union song festival, Moscow, USSR. Famous Kazakh singer Roza Rymbayeva performs her first and one of the most greatest hits Әлия ("Aliya"), dedicated to Aliya Moldagulova, Kazakh female hero, who defended her Motherland and was killed in 1944. Music by Seidulla Baiterekov, lyrics by Bakir Tazhibaev. The song is performed in Kazakh language.

i wouldn't say that kazakhs do not care...i would say that it is the circumstances that they lived in and the history as a whole which is responsible for the kazakhs' attitude toward religion...As for the jewish thing...almost every single person who was born in USSR, and would say everyone else in the rest of the world (this is based on my experience) identifies himself with her or his parents and hence their believes...so that's how our contemporary life is...

many Kazakhs dont care about religion at all. Most think if your born Kazakh u r also Muslim by blood, like being Jewish. they think Muslimness is an ethnicity.

The Kazakh langauge, it is close enough to the same Turkish they speek in Turkey/Anatolya evryone understands each other? To my ears (obviously I dont speak Turkish or Kazakhit) it sounds the same as when I visted Istanbul a few years ago. I like the Kazakh langage Borat spoke in that movie I understood all of it! (Im' Just kidding, I know you guys are so tired of ppl talking about that movie.)

when you so flagrantly referred to the ignorant Kazakh you meant me because it's you, whatever your background, and me, an average Kazakh, that are communicating here. And do not conflate Israel with the Jewry. It's 2 different entities. I'm half Jewish myself, but in no way other than ethnically do I associate with Israel.
