Actually, one reason calf mortality is high is because some populations of male Bottlenose dolphins attack one anothers babies so badly that the dead dolphins have massive internal injuries such as internal bleeding, punctured lungs, broken bones and blubber ripped from the bone. Infanticide is something that likely happens in other species but it's a matter of catching it on film.
