But they can sell it online or at stores. Seeing as how much this anime is missed, I think the producers would be seeing the series fly off shelves once they find their way onto store shelves.

I wouldn't put down the chances of having another season to 0 because of that; the franchise is still damn popular. Not less than a few weeks ago, the last Berserk Volume was the 2nd best seller manga in Japan. Beside, late night anime aren't as unwatched as you think, at least in Japan. I wouldn't mind if they cut a bit of gore too. I'm not watching a show because of the amount of blood there is. Anyway, at this rate, nobody can tell if we're going to have or not, another season.

the show is too violent for prime time TV. it didn't make a lot of money in japan because the amount of violence caused it to be aired late at night and not many people watched it. i read the manga and season 2 is gonna be even worse than season 1 with the violence. a lot of the disturbing scenes didn't make it into the anime in season 1. plus they didnt even show the skull knight. which is crucial for season 2. the show did good with dvd sales and the writer is still making more mangas.

Why not ? Man, I mean they're doing a another season of "The Mysterious Cities of Gold"... that show aired in 1982. I don't see why they couldn't do another Berserk season.

Berserk has to be one of the best dark animes ever produced. And the soundtrack... pure awesomeness.
