Good point, something I've notice is that the nineties shared many resemblances with the 60's and "the movement", just like this decade resembles much of the 70's: just listen to alot of current rock music and soul, it sounds quite to 70's hard rock. If this is true, will the next decade be a repeat of the 80's? From the way styles are going, I certainly think so.

This is the Real Thing. For those of us who were moved by this original recording, there is nothing that can provoke the energetic, life force impact that it has/had. I spent a week searching out this band after hearing it in the early 90's. Thank you to Eddie Vedder for reminding me of this jewel!

you were right to post up this video to create public attention. The Vedder version led me to this one. I prefer this version but Vedder really stayed true to the original and didn't ruin it. Thanks for putting this up jamesbondaygee.

I listened to this when I would drive to Las Vegas through the high desert of the Mojave way back in the late '80s. Strange how the music captures the loneliness and beauty of that part of the "big hard world". Wish they would have done more like it. I still find it haunting, just as beautiful and as strong and evocative today. A true Masterpiece. And while Ed Vedder is great, the original is the real deal.
