Live Earth concert at the National Museum of the American Native Indigenous (Washington, DC) on July 07, 2007.This video is courtesy of my fellow Peruvian friend Pelycano.About YARINA:"In the early 1980s, in the Andean market town of Otovalo, Ecuador, four brothers in the Cachimuel family formed Yarina, the Kichwa word for "remembrance." Dedicated to performing Andean music and dance and to educating audiences about their Kichwa culture, Yarina draws on the musical vocabulary and instruments of the Andes, including a variety of wind instruments, percussion, and the distinctive sound of the charango. At the same time, the group goes beyond the traditional by including Western instruments and by drawing inspiration from such diverse sources as jazz, blues, and Latin music. Now based in Boston, with other musicians and dancers in the family joining the original four brothers, Yarina performs throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. Their latest album, Nawi, won the 2005 Nammy for best world music recording and an Indian Summer Music Award for best folk and contemporary music. The members of the group—Roberto, Ati, Rumi, Curi, Tupac, Sumay, Ana, and Kaya Cachimuel; Nazim Flores; and Saul Guaman—have been named ambassadors of the indigenous performers of Ecuador by the Ecuadorian Department of Culture."(source: http://www.nmai.si.edu/mothere...

I'd like to add a comment from the (minority) point of view of an older generation Anglo fan of Peruvian music. The percussion is sometimes covering up the beauty of the music, especially the flute!
