the concept was a bajillion times cooler looking than the production model, but i guess it wasn't aerodynamic, and too extreme looking for the elderly.

Why the EV1 in 1995 had 120 miles range but now Volt has only 40 miles in 2010???Why GM is ling again,STOP THE LOBBY FOR THE PETROL !!!GM had crushed the EV1 because their batery's wore two good!

This looks nothing like the concept car what happend!! 40k for this piece of crap you just lost me as a buyer. What a bunch of dumb asses at GM. We were all excited about the concept design inside and out and you ruined it with the production car. You needed to stay as close to the concept inside and out. This is the EDSIL of our time!!!!!

That's pretty cool. Next time I see you driving on the freeway, I'll be sure and wave.

yes my golf cart can also do 40miles per charge like the Volt but only cost $8k and its made of metal not plastic like the volt.dont worry the li-ion battery for the Volt does not exist so it wont be avail by 2011 for sure

Hey guys. Please keep in mind this is a pre-production model. While the general layout of the production model will be the same, (ie 2 screens) the colors will be slightly different.

Wouldn't the car save power with an analog speedometer?

The Volt is just the Tip of the Spear. Why? According to the USDOT-BTS, 78% of daily commutes and 92% of one-way trips are LESS than 40 miles. The Volt uses NO gas during these trips and electricity is 1/10th the cost of gas per mile!!The 1st years Volt production will sell out the 1st weekend even if it costs over $40,000 and competes with other premium compact cars with unique style and performance, like the $46,000 BMW 135i or $44,000 Audi A3.Transportation Revolution, Baby!!!
