Billa, directed by Vishnuvardhan, is a remake of the blockbuster 1980 film, Billa. The film was released in India on December 14, 2007 and it was also simultaneously released internationally.The film stars Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Namitha, Prabhu Ganesan, Rahman and Rose Dawn in a guest appearance. 80% of the movie was shot in Malaysia, and was filmed around the tropical Langkawi island as well as the towering Petronas Twin Towers and the Jalan Masjid India area, which is the 'little India' of Kuala Lumpur. Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara underwent special martial arts training for their roles in the movie.

At least you agreed that he's good in a way.Vikhram and Surya are both great,but honestly,1 movie per year just isn't enough to prove yourself.And Ajith also has movies like Citizen and Vaali to show that he's a good actor.1 thing,is that he usually picks bad stories from new directors,but that is simply to boost their careers. He gave SJ Surya a chance,and it gave Vaali,one of Ajith's greatest movies.

dei machan,dont call him great actor...the only two films he really impressed were GODFATHER,VILLAIN....he puts so much of mokka to non-ajith fans who are watching his film...he is poor in story-selection...you should have seen his "aegan"..torture...he is definitely better than vijay...accepted....but also accept that he is nowhere near the potential of chiyaan vikram or someone like surya...no use abusing..i just told truth...your ajith should concentrate on good stories..

I liked this movie. The suits and shades that actors wear are top notch. One of the few tamil movies were style has also been importance. Cinematography and the location (Malaysia) are superb. Even though Ajith (with his pot belly visible at times) does disappoint!!!
